When someone is arrested and accused of a crime, a judge will decide whether to release the accused, hold the accused without bail or release the accused on bail. In Nevada, the individual pays the bondsman (or bail agent) about 10 percent of the total bail amount, and the bondsman guarantees the individual will return to court to stand trial. Complete a bail bondman educational 80-hour course from a national or state certified institution. Truckee Meadows Community College or the College of Southern Nevada are both educational institutions that are authorized to provide this training by the State of Nevada. Enroll in one of these schools and complete their bail bondsman program. Make sure to obtain a copy of your course completion documentation.

Enroll in a CPR certification course and a first aid certification course with either the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association. Complete any required testing and obtain your certification cards. Visit the American Red Cross or American Heart Association online to find a certification class near you.

Apply with a surety company for employment as a bail bondsman. A surety company provides a financial guarantee for the posted bail amount; therefore, you need to be employed by one so that you are financially protected. You will need to have a surety bond in the amount of $ 25,000. Obtain a letter of recognition of employment from the surety company.

Take a drug test by making an appointment at a certified laboratory and having a controlled substance blood test administered. Request a copy of your drug test results, if they are not sent to the Nevada Division of Insurance automatically.

Schedule a bail bondsman test with Pearson Vue testing and take the examination. The price of the test is $ 145.25. This price includes fingerprinting which you will also need to submit to the Nevada Division of Insurance. Obtain a passing score and receive a copy of your test results.

Fill out the application for bail bondsman from the Nevada Division of Insurance. Make a copy of all of your documentation, including proof of bond and examination results, keeping the originals for your records. Use the copies to create a licensing packet to submit to the Department of Insurance. Submit the packet along with a $ 78 initial application fee to:

The Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) was first offered in 1978, by the ISACA. Take and pass the CISA examination. The CISA examination is open to anyone who wishes to take it. There are no prerequisites. The examination consists of 200 multiple choice questions, which you are given 4 hours to complete. After successful completion of the exam, you will be sent all the required documents to apply for certification.
Attain the required experience as an information systems auditor. There is an experience requirement for a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in information systems auditing, control, and/or security work. Waivers for this experience requirement are possible for approved educational programs.
Agree to the Code of Professional Ethics. All candidates for the CISA credential must agree to the Code of Professional Ethics. This Ethics code outlines both professional and personal conduct.
Complete the required continuing education program. To maintain your knowledge and to stay current, 20 hours of continuing education must be completed each year. A minimum of 120 contact hours must also be completed in any 3 year period.
Agree to the Information Systems Auditing Standards. Anyone who holds the CISA credential is also required to agree to and comply with ISACA’s Information Systems Auditing Standards.
